Percentage of ex pats by country

I believe most of you are from mostly us and Canada it seems. Would it be correct to assume us and Canadians are the top ex pats here in terms of people? I know there are Europeans here but which country are they mostly from?

There are a lot of Cubans in the state of Yucatan. They may be the second largest group in Merida.

Pauly are you referring to people living in Playa full time right, not just visiting here:confused:
If so, I say:
1) Italy
2) Argentina
3) U.S.
4) E.U. countries (a bit of a generalization)

Russians living here full time.........not very many at all.

:joker:

The total number of Russians living in all of Mexico as of 2015:

"1,606 Russian nationals residing in the country [Mexico] (2015)"

I guess it all depends on your definition of "rapidly climbing".

Is this your estimate or a claim of fact? If it's the latter, where did you find the info? (Just curious.)

absoluteAL 09-23-2016 12:46 PM

FYI: To clarify the word expat.........
Urban Dictionary defines an expat (short for expatriate) as: "A person taking up residency in another country."

That's correct, 1st are Argentinians, 2nd Italians (used to be 1st once), not 100% sure about 3 and 4, but only talking about Playa del Carmen, could well be!

It's not my opinion.
Obviously without an accurate census, the numbers can't be confirmed..but the numbers came from the government.

EDIT: The numbers came from the Municipal Population Council (Comupo) Of Solidaridad.

And according to them - Cubans are number 3.
