Bill, your gareden and veges look great! I'm learning about times to plant and not, and the huge benifits of shade!!!!!I have the same problems with all the squash,but did get 1 pumpkin and 2 watermellons that the bugs missed! Beans were good for 2 pickings, and eggplant seem to be good--I have spent to much on the "black dirt" tierra negra--but need it where we are(xcaret) hard to find anything but rocks.
My papayas are all female--no males=no fruit--such is life, will try and find one.
Good luck with the growing, and we will have to get together and show off the gardens one day --skip

I am contacting everyone I have ever met (and coming down Apr 24-28) to find classrooms/space for days and a free public reading venue (walkable to town) however, I did have a momentary fantasy of the final night reading being at Pueblo SacBe....your thoughts? Thanks, Sheila Lanham
