I will leave on Oct. 27. I'll be pulling a 30' travel trailer so it'll take me close to a week to get to Paamul. I've never driven down so I'm just guessing on how ling it'll take. Let me know if you want me to bring it down and I'll give you my address. If you can get it in Salt lake City, UT, I can pick it up to save you shipping
hi karen, thanks for offering to help us. there isn't any legal problem bringing down small quantities of acai. they will most likely not be aware of what it is and if they question it you can let them know it is for your personal use as part of your diet.
acai is a fruit that grows only in the amazon forest and is very high in antioxidants. there are no restrictions about bringing it across the borders as it is processed, packaged and hermetically sealed in the tetra packs (1 year shelf life). if it was a fresh, raw, unprocessed fruit then there could be an issue.
we can have it shipped to an address of your choice anywhere in the continental US.
let me know if you have any questions and thanks again. - cormac & jessica
