I will be moving to Merida in 5 more years after checking it out for the past 30 or so years. So, I no longer consider my self a " tourist" however I continue to explore my future backyard. In a couple weeks I intend to go to Punta Laguna for the first time. A while back someone informed me it has closed to the public. Dependable information is slim to none on the internet as well as someone I know in Valladolid. But, I have discovered you and your fund of knowledge as posted. If open, I am debating whether to visit in the early moring or late afternoon and from Valladolid or Coba. In either case, I need to be in Merida before midnight by days end.
