Not yet. They have a lake house about 2 hours from us, and the original plan was to spend a week there in June. They both work in industries that only allow them to take time off at certain times of the year, so they have 10 days off and want to get far, far away. But we have not been able to settle on a location/price combo that works for all of us, so we may be back to the lake house . . . which is fine by me. It's gorgeous, cheap, lots of water sports, and only 2 hours away.
Keep waiting for Southwest to publish their November fares. Barring anything unforeseen, we WILL be back down to the Mayan Riviera over Thanksgiving week, either alone, or with another set of friends. If our friends join us, I am 100% sure we will rent at Natz Ti Ha. If it is just the two of us, it will be either Pueblito Escondido or maybe Club Yebo if we want to be super economical. Have you stayed there?

Hi Patty, my husband handles all of our quotes and he is out of the country. Best to send an email on the vrbo site as you get closer to the dates!

Thanks for the link for BVBC...I am going to check it out.

I am glad I could be helpful to you and I think you are making a wise choice with a condo. As I said, now that we've rented one, I don't see why we would go back to a hotel room again. There's just so much more bang for the buck in a condo! Sounds like you got reasonable rates for high season. I looked at all the other condo complexes in Playa and they were all either too "corporate" looking to me (I don't like the high rise hotel look) or too close to the middle of town or noisy areas. The north beach where Natz ti Ha is really is the nicest beach. Whichever condo you choose, let us all know how you liked it when you get back!

Hi Patty! Thank you so much for sharing your trip reports. Seeing the videos was really helpful. As much as we like the idea of lunch under the palapas and being super close to the water, I think we are leaning toward the condo. Right now we can rent J101 for about 1000 less than what it would cost to stay at MBR. That's really more than 6 days worth of spending money for food and xmas presents I plan to buy. Plus as you noted, with a LO, the space of a condo will probably be nice. And since we head to Boston for Xmas right after, I will probably appreciate being able to wash all our clothes beforehand. Okay - can you tell I am trying to rationalize my decision?

Heres a link about BVBC. Its only 8KM south of PDC.

No, I never heard of either of those places. Where are they?

BTW....I just wrote my trip report for this past trip and you might enjoy reading it. Also...if you look at my last couple trip reports (from our previous visits) you can see a lot about Mahekal. Here's the link...

Funny, I have been emailing them for more information on their rooms and yes they are slow. Ouch indeed $30. But good idea to ask, I will do the same for Las Palapas. Have you been to the Blue Venado Beach Club or inside the Punta Venado Eco park? Last time in PDC, DH became friends with some cyclists who were just then developing and have now opened a MT Bike track inside the park. He wants to bike and we are hoping that the beach is a nice area for me and the LO to hang out while he does.

You can certainly have lunch at Mahekal but not sure what their policy is regarding whether you can enjoy their palapa umbrellas while eating there. I did email them prior to our trip to ask what the charge was to use their chairs and palapa umbrellas for a day and they told me $30 USD per person. OUCH! I didn't ask about whether they would be free if we ordered food, though, so maybe you can ask them. If you email them, just be aware that they normally take a couple days to reply. Things move a lot slower in Mexico!

Hey Patty. Oh the back and forth. We are now again reconsidering a condo at Natz ti Ha as I found some that might work for us cost wise. But my DH has a picture in his head laying under a palapa eating tacos. Its not something we need everyday, but do you know if we can use the beach chairs at either Las Palapas or Mahekal if we order lunch/drinks? Thanks!
