Scooting up and down the coast on a luxury, smooth cat is a joy. This is a really fun trip. Take a look in our forum and you'll find plenty of reviews.

The tour begins at 10am with a short safety briefing as we head out of the marina into the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean. The crew serves drinks and fresh tropical fruit platters as the catamaran sails north towards Bahia Inah, a beautifully pristine bay which offers excellent snorkelling in safe, shallow and protected waters. Snorkel equipment is provided to all guests, including sterilized mask and mouthpiece as well as life-jackets.

After snorkelling and swimming we climb back on board and enjoy a light lunch which includes a filled baguette, potato chips, and cake, biscuit or a granola bar along with a cool beer or a glass or two of the famous 'Fat Cat Punch'. Sodas and water are served throughout the tour.

As the boat heads south towards Puerto Aventuras the 'boom net' is deployed for some boom netting action (the world's largest jaccuzzi - hold on to your swimsuit). We'll have time for one last swim stop near the entrance to the South Marina of Puerto Aventuras where the cold waters from the cenotes jet up through the ocean floor. We'll be back at the marina at 2pm.

Where does the FatCat depart?

The Fat Cat is docked in the marina in Puerto Aventuras, about 20 minutes south of Playa del Carmen. If you need transportation to Puerto Aventuras (included free of charge!), leave the box checked. If you prefer to meet up at the Fat Cat in the marina of Puerto Aventuras, un-check the box.

 

Notes:

Drinks include: rum punch, beer, sodas, mineral water, fruit juices.

Lunch and snacks includes: filled baguette, potato chips, and cake, biscuit or a granola bar plus fresh tropical fruit.

Catamaran amenities: front swim ladder, large rear ladders, big front trampoline, boom net, snorkel equipment, built-in bar, lots of seating, and separate men's and women's washrooms with fresh water showers in each.

Transport: Transportation is included in the price for scheduled pickup points at various hotels in Playa del Carmen and north and south of PdC. Those staying in hotels not within the scheduled pickup boundaries will have to arrange for their own transportation to a pickup point or to the marina in Puerto Aventuras. You will be notified of the closest pickup location with your confirmation email.

Cancellation policies:All cancellations will be charged a 5% cancellation fee of the total amount. For parties of 8 or more, 6 full days' notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to a booked tour are not refundable unless a valid medical certificate is produced. For groups of 4 or more a medical certificate will only cover the person who is unwell and 1 care giver, unless the others in the party are younger than 16 years of age.

This tour may not be suitable for those who suffer seasickness.

Changes due to weather conditions:Cancellations due to weather or sea conditions will be advised beforehand, when possible, at your point of lodging or otherwise at the scheduled pickup. If you are providing your own transport and the sea appears rough, please phone the contact number listed in your confirmation email to check to see if your trip will set sail as scheduled. Your trip will be rescheduled to another day if possible, or you'll receive a full refund. Whilst every effort possible is made to stick to the scheduled itinerary, weather conditions sometimes dictate that the schedule is altered or some activities may not be available. We do not offer refunds in this situation.

Please be at your pick up BEFORE your pick up time. No refunds will be given if you arrive at your pick up after the pick up time.
