The Formula 1 Offshore Adventure is a brand new tour concept, created by Paul and Marisol Boardman, founders of the Fat Cat. Two fast, state-of-the-art powerboats give you a thrilling ride and take you to off-the-beaten-path coves and beaches.

The boats are strong, fast and safe - the kind used worldwide by Coast Guards. The 29ft boat is a rigid, inflatable vessel with twin 250hp engines and takes a maximum of only 14 people.

Day Tour

Formula 1 Offshore Explorer
Awesome and fun day tour that offers a lot of bang for your buck. Pick-ups start at 8.30 am and are included in the price. After a safety briefing onboard, we head out to sea for the first exhilirating ride. Our first stop is at Punta Venado, where we swim in the deserted cove and go for a short guided tour in the jungle, explore the pristine beach and swim in a hidden, crystal-clear cenote.

After another fun ride on the boat, we anchor in the tranquil Akumal Bay to snorkel the colorful reef that has lots of tropical sea life - this is a great place for turtle spotting! We go ashore for a great lunch and drinks at a beachfront restaurant. After a little chill time, we hop onboard for another thrilling high speed run back to the marina.

Private Charter

Charters for private tours!
The boats are also available for private charters with a maximum of 12 people per boat. The itinerary is flexible - stick with the normal tour or change it according to your wishes and/or daily weather conditions. See below for more detailed information.

General info
This tour may not be suitable for those who suffer seasickness, those with severe heart/back problems (or other serious medical conditions) and children under the age of 7 years.

General info - Private Charter
The price for the charter is for a 4 hour tour, with the option to add extra hours at an additional cost. Guests pay for their own lunch. The 14 day advance discount for private charters is 10%. The free T-shirt is not included in the price for the charter.

Transportation to/from the marina
General
The boats are docked in the marina in Puerto Aventuras, about 20 minutes south of Playa del Carmen. If you need transportation to Puerto Aventuras, leave the box in the booking form checked. If you prefer to meet up in the marina of Puerto Aventuras, un-check the box. You will be notified of your pickup location in your confirmation email. Pickup points are scheduled at various hotels in Playa del Carmen and North and South of PdC. Those staying in hotels not within the scheduled pickup boundaries will have to arrange for their own transportation to a pickup point or to the marina in Puerto Aventuras.

Day Tour
Transportation is included in the price for the Day Tour.

Private Charter
For Private Charters, transportation is charged at an additional rate of 10 usd per person, which will be collected on the day of your tour.

Cancellation policy
Day Tour
For parties of 7 people or less cancellations received before 3pm the day before the tour receive a full refund; 48 hours notice apply for parties of 8 people or more. No refund after this time without medical certification.

Private Charter
Cancellations received with 7 days' advance notice receive a full refund. No refund after this time without medical certification.

Cancellation due to weather conditions
It doesn't happen often, but cancellations due to weather or sea conditions will be advised beforehand, when possible, at your point of lodging or otherwise at the scheduled pickup. If you are providing your own transport and the sea appears rough, please phone the contact number listed in your confirmation email to check to see if your trip will go as scheduled, as refunds for taxi rides cannot be given. In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather, we will either reschedule your trip or give you a full refund, as you prefer.
