Away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist strip, but still near all the action, Casa Playadise is an adorable, two-level casita that has been decorated with loving care. The owners stay here for half the year themselves, and so have outfitted Casa Playadise with all of the comforts of home. Its traditional Mexican furnishings, original folk art, and cheerful color scheme reflect local flavor and give a homey, comfortable feeling. The backyard patio with its professionally installed pool is a great spot to relax and cool off, and the charcoal grill comes in handy for backyard barbecues.
Nearby, you'll be delighted to find lots of local shops and restaurants, several supermarkets (Mega is just a couple of blocks away), discount pharmacies, the wonderful produce market/specialty store called DAC, and phone/internet shops.
Downstairs
Entering Casa Playadise, you will find yourself in the dining room, which features a rustic Mexican pine/glass table for four. In one corner, there is a desk, perfect for writing out your vacation postcards. There is an air-conditioning unit in the dining room that is powerful enough to cool the whole first floor. Pass through the dining room, and to the right you will find the small, but fully-equipped kitchen.
The living room, with its full-sized comfortable futon (which can sleep 2 people) and three chairs, offers plenty of seating for guests. Off the living room, you'll find a half-bath, which also boasts a washer/dryer unit, so you can pack and carry less.
Sliding glass doors in the living room lead to the enclosed open-air terrace, where the new plunge pool, patio furniture and a BBQ grill make for an incredible outdoor living space.
Upstairs
Both bedrooms in this home are located upstairs with queen-sized orthopedic beds, hypo-allergenic pillows, and high thread count sheets. These beds are definitely not your run-of-the-mill, rock-hard standard hotel beds! The bedrooms have separate air-conditioning, which you'll appreciate after spending a long day in the hot sun. The full bathroom with walk-in shower completes the top floor.
