Hotel Básico
Those who subscribe to the theory that everything old is new again will be thrilled to discover Hotel Básico. Designed to hearken back to Acapulco's glory years in the 50s and 60s, this unique concept hotel combines retro color and ambiance with contempory lines and furnishings to create an unforgettable, hip Mexican experience.
The rooftop lounge area features comfortable sunbeds, lounge seating, hammocks, a full-service bar, and two plunge pools, all overlooking the magnificent Caribbean Sea. By day, this sunny deck provides hotel guests with the perfect tanning/relaxation area, and by night, a sophisticated hangout hotspot with a Latin music soundtrack.
Cheekily given a Latina name instead of a number, each room features floor-to-ceiling glass windows, industrial fixtures, recycled rubber drapes, and an assortment of whimsical design touches, such as saw handles for bathroom doorknobs. The King beds in each room are top-of-the-line, comfortable mattresses, ensuring a good night's sleep after a hard day's play.
The hotel's breezy, second floor restaurant overlooks 5th avenue and offers a Gulf-coast seafood menu carefully designed by chefs imported from Veracruz. Room service until 11 pm allows for private, in-room meals for the amorous.
Hotel Básico is a small and exclusive
hotel with only 15 rooms, so booking well in advance is recommended.
Hotel Básico is for adults
only. Room rates start at 148 usd and depend
on room type, season, number of people and the length of your
stay.
