Pros: helping to let the Maya's keep on living on there own ground and the history alive....
Cons: none

One look at the pictures we make on our tour to Chikin-Ha in my album is enough...i think...

Pros: great fun! Awesome guides, high adventure, good food.
Cons: Possibly a little too rough and too much walking if you are not in top shape.

The 'Indiana Jones' tour was the highlight of our last trip- excellent and memorable!

The zip line over the lake, tour of Coba, rapelling down into an underground cenote, the Mayan village (buy some honey- it is GREAT!)- everything was very well done and lot of fun.

Pros: Fun activities--rappeling, zip line
Cons: If you want to really see Coba, you won't have enough time

Alltournatives has (we were told) 44 guides on staff. Stands to reason, some will be better than others. We were told we would have 2 free hours to visit Coba, but because of waiting and delays at previous sites, we had barely an hour. Some members of our party never even made it to the large pyramid before they had to turn back.

The Mayan culture is so interesting, I think we could have learned so much more with a guide who really knew his stuff. I think the other tour participants were satisfied; but I have had better tours in the past.

Go for the fun activities; don't expect in-depth commentary though.

Pros: Friendly guide, great trip full of fun activities!
Cons: Long time to pickup guests at many different hotels

The trip to Coba and then the Mayan Village of Pac Chen was great! We enjoyed Coba, the rapelling into a cave cenote at Pac Chen, the jungle walk , canoeing on the lake and of course the zip line across the small lake. Our driver/tour guide was a delight. A little disconcerting in that he had to translate between English, Spanish and French because of the various languages of the guests in our van. Overall, a great experience and well worth the time and the money!
