Home to hundreds of species of birds, fish, mammals, and plants, Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve is a 1.3 million acre reserve of lagoons, mangrove swamps, watery cays, savannahs, tropical forests, and barrier reef. Much of this is closed to humans, but guided tours are available. Located 2 hours South of Playa.
