Pros: Large showers, great a/c, nisce pool, clean, friendly staff, great location, beautiful grounds
Cons: no in-room safe

This property is near the beach and 5th ave. The rooms are standard or better, w/large showers, great a/c, nice pool and socializing area, friendly staff. This is a gem for the price range. The grounds have lush tropical foliage. We will stay here again. We found ants our 1st day but they were gone, never to return, upon our return from the beach.

Pros: Location - Cleanliness - Friendly Owners on Site
Cons: Location (Over New Years!!!)

GREAT location normally, but we had problems staying here over New Years due to a stage that had been erected in the middle of the intersection of Avenida 1 y Calle 12 for several nights of LOUD and LATE drunken revelry! Not being a part of the party, it was TOO close for us!

Basic, clean accommodations. There were 2 sets of wall hooks for hammocks. I don't know if they were available on request or if you had to bring your own. Our king size bed was reasonably comfy. Our AC unit was very loud. We tried sleeping with the windows open, but the New Years noise from the street was too loud for that. No ceiling fan in our room. No TV, but there was a public one for watching out near the pool. No in-room drinking water, but a jug was available on the patio near the pool. The pool area was VERY nice with plenty of lounges. The landscaping was very nice too. The hotel also has an on-site cenote. VERY friendly, helpful staff and the owners live on-site, which is a plus.

We stayed at this hotel as we took over sold out reservations at a couple of weeks' notice from a girl who had to cancel and didn't want to lose her deposit. All in all, we would stay here again, but we're more inclined to go with a place that has little extras like a TV, fridge and coffee maker.
