Description: Domestic market leader, Corona ExtraŽ is the best-selling Mexican beer in the world and, since 2001, the world's fourth best-selling brand.

A Pilsner type beer, its history goes back to 1925, when it was first produced in the Modelo Brewery in Mexico City.

Corona ExtraŽ's popularity is not just limited to the home market. It has also been a great success overseas, especially in the US market, where it has sold well since the early 1980s.

The brand was later introduced to Canada, Europe, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and parts of Africa. Corona ExtraŽ is now exported to more than 150 countries in every continent.

Pros: tastes good with tacos and is nice in the hot weather, obviously high quality and consistent
Cons: a light beer that you can (need to) drink all day

I like Corona. It's very refreshing has a pleasant skunkiness to it. They get warm fast on the beach, so make sure you get one of those PlayaInfo bottle wetsuits to keep it cool.

When you get a bucket of them, that's called a cubetazo. Salud!

Pros: really refreshing when ice cold.
Cons: thick taste.

very good beer when ice cold...hard to drink more than 5-6 due to the thickness.

all-in-all I will never refuse one!

Pros: Beer
Cons:

Now that my area is bringing in some other good mexican beers I don't usually buy corona but it is always there if they run out of my other favorites. It is on the heavy side so if your planning downing quite a few don't plan on eating.

Pros: Easy to find good beer
Cons:

Corona isn't bad. It is great in the summer. Easy to drink. Much better than any domestic US mass-produced beer. It is very easy to find.

Try one with a shot of Absolut Citron for an extra little kick.

Pros: Good with a lime, refreshing
Cons: There are much better Mexican beers out there

As far as comparing Mexican beers, it is by no means the best of the bunch. Try one of the Modelo's or Dos Equis Amber. But hey, you're on vacation, and Corona sure goes down nice with a lime when it's hot out no matter where you are. Besides, vacation in Mexico is not the same without it.

Try a "Tequila fog," As some friends from Montreal taught me. Pour a shot of tequila slowly into a bottle of Corona, where it will congregate in the neck of the bottle (thus the "fog"), then give the beer a serious swill. It's like a Mexican Root Beer Barrel. Yummy!
