Great location. Just a 5 min. cab ride into town. I posted a review for the Palladium Grande which is very similar in the overall layout. However, the Tucan a bit smaller, which is good thing, and the landscaping integrated quite nicely with the natural surroundings like old trees and natural stone. The specialty restaurants were actually quite good when we were there. The buffets did not seem to have much of a variation from night to night (i.e. theme night), but cold food was cold, hot food hot, and everything was replenished often. Great coffee! Best drinks were made at the lobby bar.

Beautiful AI resort. Excellent services provided by reception desk, waiters, waitresses, entertainment, etc. Rooms are spacious and ultra clean with in-room safe and mini fridge with soda, water and beer. Spring water is provided. Bathroom is roomy and has large marble shower area. Jungle like atmosphere is really nice. Monkeys and roosters are quite visable and make themselves heard. Buffet restaurant menu is diversified and offers many types of food. Drinks are plentiful but not very strong. Waitress service on beach, poolside bar and adults only swim up bar are perfect. Beach is very crowded but there are usually chairs available. Towel game is played with chairs around pool. Convenient to Playa del Carmen--- 5 min. taxi ride of 12 min walk into town.
