dosequis

Description: Amber (golden-brown)
Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Pros: rich amber taste
Cons: taste bitter when lime is added

Dos Equis Amber is by far my all time favorite beer. I was at one time a Corona drinker. One evening I went to a bar that did not have Corona but did serve Dos Equis Amber- I have been drinking it ever since.

Pros: smooth taste
Cons: None

Fantastic beer. I prefer this beer in the winter here in Houston or over a glass of ice..no lime..I enjoy the fresh taste this beer has compared to the Lager. It is a little hard to find sometimes but when you do it is always a treat!

Pros: More full-bodied
Cons: Availability

This is our brew of choice, when we can find it. The lager is widely available, but the Amber less so. We prefer our beer a little more on the ""chewy" side, so this somewhat darker beer suits us. No lime, please.

Pros: Taste
Cons: Expensive in bottles in stores

Hubbie loves it on tap. The local Mexican restaurant has a 32 oz "mug" for $4.50. He says he only had two beers (and 4 trips to the bathroom).

Pros: Smooth darker beer
Cons: Tastes better in PDC than home

I'm a big fan of darker beers. This runs a very close second to Negra Modelo for me.

Very smooth. Serve it cold with no lime.

Pros:
Cons:

It's a nice change drom Sol. It's more on the lighter side but a truly refreshing beer. BeachBuns likes this best.

Pros: Great taste and hop/malt balance
Cons:

A great amber beer, comparable to some of the best amber ales and marzens anywhere. One of my favorites while in Mexico, and at home.
