negramodelo

Description: Negra Modelo is one of the richest tasting, most robust beers in Mexico. A complex beer, redolent with caramel and chocolate flavors from the malt, the beer is perfectly balanced with a bit of spiciness or nuttiness in the hop aspects of its flavor profile. The beer is brewed by Grupo Modelo, headquartered in Mexico City, with breweries throughout the country.

Pros: Very good beer in all situations.
Cons: Only bad if served hot!

I love this beer...I dont drink it very often but when I get one in my hands a smile comes to my face!

Very full body flavor and you should really try a draft at Babes Bar and Noodle...very tasty!

Pros: great taste
Cons: none

This beer is dark but it isn't bitter compared to other dark beers. In fact I find it quite smooth with just the perfect amount herbs & spices. Try it !

Pros: Generally the most widely available darker brew
Cons: None

We enjoy the darker aspect of this beer, over the generally lighter Mexican brews. Appreciate the fact that we can almost always get this one, as opposed to the other more full-bodied beers that don't seem to be as widely distributed.

Pros: Tasty
Cons: Not exactly cheap

My beer of choice here in NC when we go out for Mexican food (since we can't get Leon). Yum.

Pros: Really easy to drink
Cons: Really easy to drink :)

Certainly my favorite Mexican beer. Dark and smooth - very nice flavor.

Goes well with or without a lime.

Pros: Great tasting
Cons: A bit too dark/heavy for some

The best Mexican beer out there, and would certainly hold its own against any of the alt or bock style German beers. No lime needed!
