Pros: clean friendly staff
Cons: none

have stayed here twice. everyone that works at the hotel is very friendly and accomadating. the rooms are nice the grounds pretty. it is around the corner from 5th ave. you get a beach pass fot mamitas that is good for a lounge chair every day. they have an onsite pool which is nice after the beach. also a small bar is opened around 5pm every day near the pool. love this hotel.

Pros: the staff, the restaurant, the rooms, the price...everything
Cons: none whatsoever

Our party of four had a junior suite (room 36) and I can't think of anything that could be better. Everything about this property was even better than we had hoped. It was our first trip to PDC and I think La Tortuga will be hard to top. The staff was fantastic, the restauraunt was one of the best places we ate the entire week and the junior suite was amazing. We had our own rooftop hot tub, a large cushioned area for lounging, our own hammock, table and chairs...all under a palapa roof.

BTW...the picures on this site and on the hotel's website don't really do the place justice. The pool area can now only be described as LUSH. The small trees seen in these pictures are now huge and shade the pool area nicely. There was even a banana tree growing on the 'island' in the pool that had a huge bunch of green bananas on it. The pool area looks like a miniature jungle and there were native flowers and birds everywhere.

I could gush for pages about this place. The best compliment I could give them is to say that I would spend my money with them again.

Pros:
Cons:

This hotel IMHO is awesome. I first stayed here in May 2003 and have returned 5 additional times. The staff is super friendly (Anna, Bernardo and Henry)!! They have recently added some small nice changes to the rooms. Rooms are always clean..the pool area is fantastic...never had a complaint. I love the swim up rooms..nice to dangle your feet in the pool after a night out on the town. I highly recommend La Tortuga.

Pros: pool area was beautiful, swim up room very romantic
Cons: bar didn't open 'till 5pm

very friendly at front desk, beautiful hallways, and courtvard area around pool, very nice conversation areas with comfortable chairs and couches, the pool itself is fantastic, the palms are huge and add a wonderful touch, the water was crystal clear, the swim up room, lovley......

our bed was decorated with flowers, and cold champagne on the nightstand, a very romantic way to spend your honeymoon!!

Pros: everything
Cons: nothing

I stayed at La Tortuga for 5 days in July on a recommendation from this forum. I cannot say enough good things about it. The room was clean, the grounds were beautiful! The staff is outstanding! I would not hesitate to recommend this place to everyone, you won't be disappointed.
